Magibu AI goes global: building academic bridges in the UK and France
Talks have begun with leading NLP groups in Sheffield, Exeter, and France. Academy participants will take active roles in these research projects after training.
I am in the UK for two weeks and, from the very first days, I have started building valuable academic connections on both the UK and France fronts.
Talks have begun with strong NLP research groups at the Universities of Sheffield and Exeter, and with research laboratories in France that are doing important work in Europe's open LLM ecosystem — all around opportunities for joint collaboration.
This process matters a great deal for Magibu AI and Magibu Academy.
Because our goal is not just to deliver training; it is to connect participants with real research problems, open-source AI projects, and international academic collaborations.
Magibu Academy participants will have the opportunity to contribute to research work on NLP, LLMs, tokenizers, embeddings, benchmarks, idiomaticity, and low-resource languages after the training, based on their fit and interests.
The AdMIRe line within SemEval, vocabulary adaptation, Turkish idiomaticity benchmarks, embedding evaluation studies, and new research ideas connected to the European open LLM ecosystem are all on the table right now.
Selections will be made from both the main and the reserve list.
We are designing this training not just as a certificate program, but as a gateway from Turkey into international AI research.
Applications are open until the end of June.
Apply. And pass this announcement on to someone who has been waiting for exactly this kind of opportunity.
